Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding”
In case anyone hasn’t noticed I have MIA for close to two months. The reason being I have gotten a transfer to Paducah KY and had not had permanent living arrangements. All of this changed this past Monday as I closed on a home of my own.
Now one might wonder why I am writing all of this down for one to read but the fact remains that this is a testimony to the goodness of our Lord.
Allow me to go back in time just a bit.
As you know I created this blog because He spoke to me, (hence the name of this site), and placed it upon my heart to do so. I worried that I would put too much of me into this site but He made me aware that it was HE that put words in the mouths of His prophets and servants, and anything that I do would be from Him and not myself.
However this testimony goes back even farther. I had made a commitment to let Him handle my life again and stayed faithful to that commitment by reading His word daily. Since that point my life began to run around. First came the transfer letter and once the transfer went through I needed a place to live. I had considered renting again has I had back east in LI NY, but really wanted a place to call home in more than just name. I gave the possibility of owning again one last try figuring I’d be no worse off than when I started as I had heard “no way” so many times one more would not make a difference. I was surprised when the broker said that it could be done. To say that it was a piece of cake would be a lie as there were many obstacles to get past. But I left it in His hands and dutifully did all that was asked of me by supplying the all the requested information by the mortgage broker trusting in Him, to clear all things that stood in the way. I must admit that there were times when I thought it would all fall apart and began to despair but kept my hope alive by my belief in Him to do all that He has promised. And so on Monday I was once again a homeowner.
This is my testimony of His great goodness.
It is my hope to shortly continue my regular posts. I should be settled in, in about three weeks and have all the utilities and other services in place. Until then may the Good Shepherd richly bless all of you and all that you endeavor.
