SAMECH

113 I hate vain inventions: but thy Law do I love (a)
114 Thou art my refuge and shield, and I trust in
thy word. (b)
115 Away from me, ye wicked: for I will keep the
commandments of my God. (c)
116 Stablish me according to thy promise, that I
may live, and disappoint me not of mine hope.
117 Stay thou me, and I shall be safe, and I will
delight continually in thy statutes.
118 Thou hast trodden down all them that depart
from thy statutes: for their deceit is vain.
119 Thou hast taken away all the wicked of the
earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee, and I am
afraid of thy judgments.

(a) Verse 113

Lay more work upon the men, and cause them
to do it, and let them not regard vain words

13 For this cause take unto you the whole armor
of God, that ye may be able to resist in the 2evil day,
and having finished all things, stand fast.
14 Stand therefore, and your loins girded about
with verity, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of
the Gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of Faith, wherewith
ye may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked,
17 And take the helmet of Salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
(c) Verse 115
Psalm 6:8
Away from me all ye workers of iniquity: for
the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping

Then said Jesus unto him, Avoid Satan: for it
is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God,
and him only shalt thou serve.

you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.

Then he turned back and looked on his disciples,
and rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind
me, Satan: for thou understandest not the things
that are of God, but the things that are of men.

Submit yourselves to God: resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.

105 Thy word is a lantern unto my feet, and a light
unto my paths. (a)
106 I have 1sworn and will perform it, that I will
keep thy righteous judgments.
107 I am very sore afflicted: O Lord, quicken me
according to thy word.
108 O Lord, I beseech thee, accept the free offering
of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments. (b)
109 My soul is continually in mine hand: yet do I
not forget thy law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: but I
swerved not from thy precepts.
111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage
forever: for they are the joy of mine heart. (c)
112 I have applied mine heart to fulfill thy statutes
always, even unto the end.

The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the
voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride,

forever, and of them that offer the sacrifice of praise in
the house of the Lord, for I will cause to return the
captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.

given an heritage unto those that fear thy Name.

thee, shall not prosper: and every tongue that shall
rise against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their
righteousness is of me, saith the Lord
